Two brothers (George & Walter) and a sister (Flora) of the Ahrens family married two sisters (Lizzie & Minnie)
and a brother (Charlie) of the Schomburg family. Wonder who they talked about at family gatherings?!
Walter farmed west of Latimer and raised the kids. They lost the farm in the Depression, and moved to Rowan, where
they rented a place, until getting enough money to buy a farm north of Rowan. They eventually sold that farm when
they retired and moved to town.
