Taking a break from web site work

Web Creator....
What a job!

I am an appraiser by day, church organist on Sunday, and like to help friends on projects.  Here I am, picking grapes for friends with a vineyard on a beautiful late summer day.

Web Site Members:

Boyd Ahrens had the idea for a family reunion 70 years after that first one in 1937.  I was raised in Latimer, Iowa, and knew very little of our Indiana connection with so many other Ahrens family members.   In May of 2004, my wife and I took off for Batesville to discover "my roots."  What a pleasant surprise!  So many Ahrens!  We stayed at the Sherman House in Batesville, and people there directed us to Adams Lutheran Church.  From there we discovered Mervin Ahrens who put us in touch with Elverda (Rouse) Brower.  She then told us that Phyllis (Luers) Bigler had collected the Ahrens Family History and had worked up a Family Tree.  Many thanks to Phyllis for a terrific job of detective work.

Phyllis will have her Family History available at the Reunion.  There are hundreds of names in it already, and it is large.  You may/may not already know of it and have seen it.  We may try to post some parts of it, if we figure out how to do it.

If you have family names & events that you want to include in the history, contact me.
