Heinrich Ahrens, born March 19, 1819 in East Friesland, near Hannover, Germany. He moved to Hubble's Corner, east
of Sunman, in Ripley County, outside of Batesville, Indiana in 1833. He came with a brother, Herman, and
2 sisters. Martha married a Sitterding. The other sister we don't have a name for yet, but she married a Pohler,
we think. Heinrich's wife, Anna Maria Mollenkamp, from Hannover, came over with a brother. She was born
April 18, 1818. They were married August 15, 1843 at Adams Lutheran Church, several miles SE of Batesville.

a video presentation of the family. Afterward will be entertainments from willing family members and perhaps local groups.

Sunday
July 1, 10 a.m. Sunday morning we will attend church at Adams Lutheran, and there will be a served
lunch afterward. The Bernhard family is gracious and kind, and willing to make a meal for us! Again - please phone Boyd
or e-mail him. We must have a count on how many meals they might expect to make.
There are many sites in the area and nearby region. We hope you will consider attending the reunion and then going
on to vacation in surrounding areas of interest.
Pre-Reunion fun:
We are planning on going to the Old Brick Tavern in Sunman (near Batesville) on Friday night, June 29. Jenny says
there is an organist and pianist on Friday nights. Boyd will take his accordion, and we will see what sort of
fun we might conjur up! Boyd's great grandfather, William Ahrens, was a "saloonist" in Sunman about 1898.
The Old Brick is in a small town, half way between Batesville and Sunman. Maps will be available at the Hampton Inn
- headquarters for the event.
